A look back at 2019 so far…
2019 has been a year that has captured our hearts, with so many beautiful weddings taking place at Dewsall. We are ever grateful to be part of our guests’ celebrations, and there have been some truly unforgettable moments which we aren’t quite ready to move on from just yet. So do read on for a little look back at our highlights of the year so far…
Unforgettable Entertainment
The wonderful Steffi and Jonathan really did pull out all the stops when it came to adding the wow factor to their wedding day in May. The singing pianist they booked for the duration of their wedding feast was such a fun and quirky idea that united all of their guests and brought a feeling of absolute joy to the room. Micheal G Moore had everyone up, dancing and singing throughout the meal, taking endless requests with not a music sheet in sight. It was the type of atmosphere you really wish you could bottle!

A Fusion of Cultures
The wedding of Jess and Xavier will always be a wedding we look back on with the fondest of memories, the warmest of hearts and in awe at the remarkable celebrations they created for their family and friends to enjoy. With not one but two ceremonies in a single magical weekend in July, they kicked off with a beautiful country wedding on the Saturday before holding a traditional Indian open-air ceremony the next day, next to the lake. The weekend was a perfect fusion of two cultures and boasted wonderful traditions throughout. Particular highlights included Xavier riding into the Indian ceremony on horseback with his side of the wedding party following behind playing the drums, and both the bride and groom’s parties performing traditional Indian dances for the guests!

Cathedral Ceremony
It was a real honour to be part of Mary and Michael’s celebrations, who tied the knot in August with a stunning ceremony at Hereford Cathedral. It is quite possibly the most beautiful place to be married in the county and the happy couple continued their day in style with a gorgeous reception at Dewsall, where they delighted guests with incredible cocktails and ice-cream canapes.

Bridal Colour
We are always magpies for bridal accessories; what’s not to love about shimmering shoes and glittering headpieces? This year, however, one bride, in particular, brought her absolute A-game when it came to accessorising. We loved the way Hannah went all-out glam-rock with her beautiful rainbow coloured shoes, intricate and colourful belt, and amazing rainbow starred headpiece. Nothing makes us happier than when a couple really injects their personalities into their wedding day down to the very last detail!
Our Tasting Events
This year we launched tasting events for our brides and grooms to-be and they have gone down a storm! Now a key part of the booking with us, each couple is invited to a tasting-extravaganza in the Wainhouse where they have the chance to sample our wedding menus. Wines from Nothing But The Grape, dishes from our team of wonderful chefs, and a chance to experience all the magic of a Wainhouse event. These tasting events have been described as “bursting with inspiration!” and we can’t wait to hold more! Please contact our events team if you have any questions about attending a tasting.
