‘From house parties to exclusive weddings, Dewsall is the ultimate celebration house!’

Weddings:

Dewsall is perfect for weddings and can be hired for weddings from 20 – 220 guests!

It is possible to have a civil ceremony in the house or grounds, and, by prior negotiation, you can have a blessing in the parish church at the bottom of the garden.

It is important to us to not be ‘just another wedding venue’ and we feel strongly that we will only take a small number of weddings a year, tailor making each package to the couple’s wants and needs. We therefore do not have endless documents that we can send you with sample menus etc etc. The essential thing for us is that we put together a bespoke quote after having had a good chat with the person making the enquiry.

However, there are a few basic costs that will always be the same:

To have your wedding at Dewsall it is £7450 which includes:

  • VAT
  • 2 night stay for up to 23 guests
  • A dedicated person to guide you through planning your event and direct access to the owners of the business who also got married at Dewsall a few years ago!
  • A high quality continental breakfast on both mornings and cooked brunch before departure on the day after the wedding.
  • A light lunch for up to 23 house guests
  • A simple yet delicious 2 course supper on the first evening for up to 23 guests (more can be added on a per head basis)
  • Use of the house for a wedding reception for up to 60 and a wedding service for up to 30 people in the chinoiserie room or 60 in our studio barn.
  • The gamesafe filled with treats, the fruit bowls stocked, endless tea and coffee
  • Log baskets fully stocked
  • Beautiful house flowers
  • Aromatherapy Associates products in all the bathrooms as well as robes, towels, hairdryers, magnifying mirror…
  • Extensive DVD library
  • Use of the ipod dock
  • Use of cake stands and cake knife

To use the Wainhouse there is a further charge of £3250 which includes use of the space for either your reception and/or the service for up to 120 guests – more should you choose to extend it. This price includes:

  • The canvas sides
  • Loo facilities
  • Logs for the woodburning stove
  • 2 fire pits
  • All tables and Chairs for your event
  • The use of all our heaters (not including the gas).

To add a 30 foot hand cleaved yurt to the side of the barn there is a further
charge of £1750, which includes wooden floor and coir matting.

To add a 20 foot yurt to the side of the barn there is a further charge of
£900.

Dewsall focuses on crafting wedding events which bring each individual couple’s visions to life.

The venue is now offering winter weddings at a low season price from October 2013 until Easter (excluding December), saving £1500 when compared with the summer rates.

From just £5950, an exclusive use wedding at Dewsall includes:

  • Dedicated planning professional, plus advice from Dewsall’s owners (who married there too!)
  • 2 night’s accommodation for up to 23 guests, with continental breakfasts, light lunch, and a 2 course supper on the first evening, as well as tempting brunch the day after the wedding
  • Exclusive use of the main house for your reception of up to 60 guests
  • Use of the house for a wedding reception for up to 60 and a wedding service for up to 30 people in the chinoiserie room, or 60 in our studio barn
  • All those little finishing touches – from roaring fires and beautiful house flowers, to Aromatherapy Associates products in all bathrooms and all-important cake stands.

If time is precious, there are a limited number of late availability weddings held on the estate. Small parties can be accommodated in November, January and February, receiving Dewsall’s dedicated personal service from £11,000. This includes:

  • Exclusive use of house and grounds, plus your dedicated planning professional
  • Overnight stay for up to 23 guests, with high quality continental breakfast
  • Wedding breakfast served in the conservatory for up to 40 guests
  • Champagne reception, wine, and soft drinks
  • Photography by Gemma Williams and flowers by Love Lily
  • DJ on-hand for a soundtrack ‘til midnight

Prices include VAT, with options for additional accommodation, meals and guests.

To have more than 120 guests we can arrange for a wonderful tent to be erected in a various places – lakeside, in the formal gardens etc and these tents can come in various shapes and sizes: a 60ft yurt, a raj pavillion, a traditional style canvas marquee or a top of the range modern marquee.

The price of hiring Dewsall and the Wain House are reduced by £1000 if you choose to have a midweek wedding.
